Is there anyway to hurt these bastards? Seem to cause disruption under the guise of protecting workers. I absolutely hate them.

A worker's job is to get as much renumeration for his labour as possible, a company's job is to get as much labour for as little renumeration as possible.
You can get as angry about either side of that equation as you want, or just accept that no fucker wants to work for a penny less than he thinks he's worth.

To be fair to the RMT, aren't they the ones who always work normally throughout ASLEF's frequent strike actions?

Although I feel they get a good salary I support any workforce who feel the need to strike against a 1%pay rise. I'm fed up with comments of lucky to have a job piss me right off from so called managers getting 10% bonuses, we are not in it together by a long way, normal working people will not get back what we lost in salaries and work pension over the past 5 years while the arseholes up top keep creaming it off with bad performance.

No Raymond, they didn't.
Secondly why I'm angry is because it's ultimately us who feel the effects of their strikes, so as far as I'm concerned it's selfish. The sooner all railway lines are auto-piloted, the sooner they can't exploit a whole country.
Parasites.

Except of course they sacrifice a day of pay, pension contributions etc to go on strike.
Did you lose a days pay as a result of the strike?

Re: RMT

bigot, you're not really up on this strike are you. Auto piloting trains wont change a thing as the drivers are represented by aslef. The rmt represents the station staff and the repair crews. So going to driverless trains won't change a thing.

Just shows to me that the railways are better off in the private sector.

Contractors will be down on money, business will be afftected.
Chelmsford, I didn't know that.
Hermit, any criticism from you can be disgarded. You're one of this sites duller posters.

Re: RMT

Bigot, I'm not even sure why you think a strike is guaranteed. One strike has always been called off because of a new offer and talks are still going on at the moment. The chances are that both sides are playing a game of political poker at the moment and a deal will probably be hammered out and the strikes called off.

No, I've not personally lost pay. However my travel plans on the are in jeopardy if the strike goes ahead.
If as Chelmsford has pointed out.

I do love the way that whenever a strike is called , it's always the fault of the worker no matter what the circumstances are.

Considering network rail made a profit of 1.4 billion last year I'm not surprised their staff want more than a1% pay rise.
